A five-day international folk dance and music festival in Pula, Rovinj, and Rijeka featuring traditional ensembles.
Five Days of Dance Across Pula, Rovinj & Rijeka
A vibrant mix of tradition and international exchange, Festival Days in Istra brings together dance groups, folk ensembles, and musicians from across Europe and beyond. The program features live performances in open-air squares, streets, and amphitheaters across Pula, Rovinj, and Rijeka.
Each evening brings something different, from traditional Polish polkas to Catalan sardanas or Serbian kolo dances. Costumes are colorful, rhythms infectious, and audiences diverse. What’s special about this festival is how it blends the energy of travel with the charm of local Croatian backdrops.
Although the performances are by registered groups, all spectators are welcome. The shows are casual, often free to attend, and ideal for travelers interested in folklore, dance, or world cultures. This festival adds a cosmopolitan spark to Istria’s coastal towns.
